and it snowed

10 inches of snow fell last night! It is melting round the edges so it may not last long, just after I took the photograph most of it slid of the greenhouse.

Wow! We only had about an inch and it all melted really quickly.

Zowie! Looks like you and Jim got the same snow we did up here in Alberta! I'm not complaining, it gets far too dry in the summers and then we're dealing with forest fires. So congratulations!

Ah, so here and there are pretty similiar, it seems! We've gotten some more snow too over the weekend (or very nearby), but it melted again, pretty quickly. Today it is suppose to go up to 50 F! Then rain again, as per usual. Think you're a little cooler weather-wise, perhaps? Are you wetter, too? Now, that would be a desperate situation, but I guess possible...

GORGEOUS!!

I was thinking as I was going for my morning walk at 6 am today, it has sure been a COLD winter. We still didn't get as much snow as others seem to be getting. *sniff*

Thanks for your comments about your daughter's schooling and your friend's son, btw. Glad he is doing better where he is now!!!

Allotment 21, sometimes less snow is a good thing, my friends poly-tunnel has collapsed at one end.
Madcap, I was just going to say we're too wet for forest fires but we did have a bad one in Argyll about 2 yrs ago, I have a photo of the smoke taken from an island (we were out on the sea.)
Wildside, I think we're way too wet and cold!! I mean to get a map and mark where you all are.
Grannyfiddler,it is your backyard, the marvells of a zoom lens. . . .
