thumbnail for size referenct... lol.... potato in a bucket in the greenhouse... last year this method produced four potatoes in total... so maybe not the best... but it pleases me to grow things so thats a yield in itself.
the weather is fabulous this week.. like summer... of course I'm at work and have next week off... here's next weeks weather report...
''Still settled for many at the start of next week but a trend to showery and colder conditions is expected to take place from the north from Monday. Showers will likely be focused on northern and eastern areas, potentially wintry over northern hills and at lower levels in the far northeast. A good deal of dry weather persisting in the south and west. Potential for strong winds in the far northeast early in the period. Later next week and beyond, more unsettled conditions are likely with more frequent showers or longer spells of rain for many areas. After a spell of below average temperatures next week, temperatures are likely to return to near average later in the period.''

ah, yes, potatoes planted! i still buy, because we love potatoes, but do plant a lot from those that sprout -- which are mostly eaten by critters. but yet? nothing like a garden fresh potato -- or an old one either! take care today, claire, and remember to relish any potato harvest you get -- of course you do! LOL
I love anything that grows in the garden, I'm even sad when i dispose of grass cutting and hedge clippings.... i know these would compost eventually but in such a small garden there isn't room. i do compost a lot of stuff, i've three compost bins. here we have a service that lifts your garden waste and its 'municipally'... i'm guessing that word.... composted , and you can purchase compost from them, though I don't... i use horse poop more than anything
dear claire, no facebook at all here anymore and for me not at all -- tho' i know of it of course -- and seems to be the thing many rely upon to connect with, tho' i doubt they truly do? far too wordy today!
despite this, will say i think the internet has done amazing things to connect us over the past many years. however,as we're entering into a time of potential disconnectiveness, i think both reality and diy is a good thing too -- plus needing to stop the overshare online yet want to keep connections? (ie. that as in with you...); anyway, after all that, i would say, be more courageous and use more of that green matter you dispose of to help your own cause at home -- but find a way to be tidy about it (a challenge for me as well, perhaps more than you!). also always focus on reuse? but i know you do!
Again, wishing you well today... The world was always been strange, but perceiving it today? I think, continuing on, all the more difficult. Odd things keep happening. Go slow, if you can... And take care today.
