a dinners worth of vegetables. , two yellow beetroot, two good size carrots and two tiny, one long parsnip hiding under the big carrot... a long skinny leek.. tied it in a circle to fit it into the photo, and some chard leaves. I've still a few tomatoes ripening in a drawer, and there's probably more dinners out in the garden, not a lot though its nice to have what comes.

weary of the weather
I've bought a set of Lister Star Clippers, so Quince has just had her fourth clip, its surprising how fluffy she gets very quickly. there's not been much nice weather recently, its not particularly cold, just damp and drizzly, not keen on going out riding, can't get anything done in the garden.

Claire, it looks so gooda!
we are chopping up the rest of our ripe tomatoes today to make a tomato sauce for pizza and again saving seed -- our own tomato this time, so not so consoluto, not so beef steak to come from next year's garden... just a very few grape tomatoes (er, cherry tomatoes?) left to ripen inside... sometimes i make it into november, but not this year... yet everyday i harvest... not every day i plant
where in the world am i? day dreaming of basque country and continuing to be annoying despite not wanting to be?
i know you were posting on quince to begin with... so sorry to skip that beat... how is abbey? (still stuck in the past)... BTW, it is not tomatoes i'm harvesting now, just anything that is!
hope you enjoyed the pizza, it sounds good!
Abbey is in good health and enjoying her retirement, she isn't much bothered when I go to see her, she looks for a treat and asks for her bum to be scratched. I have regular chiropractic appointments out in her direction so I see her when going over there anyway.
