its the terrifying, horse eating wee donkey....quick...run away!!!!!
I am inclined to disagree with Abbey, I think he is a wee poppet...very nervous and skeptical of people, he has up to now allowed me to stroke his shoulder but only for a minute, then he gently moves off.

Years ago we had two donkeys who were trained to pull a little wagon. One was the gentlest creature you could imagine. The other, not at all! A mean little thing who was never trusted when out children were around. All to say, not all donkeys are horse eating monsters!
That donkey is very pretty is he still in his winter coat or is he normally that shaggy?
Michael, he seems quite gentle and will go to children more readily than to an adult, I am sitting on the ground taking photos and he seemed to think I was less scary than when I stand up. I have seen Abbey making faces at him so she is getting used to him, I've yet to see them close enough to get in the same picture though..
Rivenfae, he is pretty cute! I don't know about the donkey coat, I have a friend who used to have donkeys so I am going to ask her, we are having a slow cold exit from winter here so maybe he is hanging on to it to keep warm!
Ahh, so cute! Same type of Donkey as our Daphne.
Bridget, he's a nice wee thing. he's not scared of children at all, just adults...
Great photo yet again, Claire! Hard to imagine his horse eating ways, but them I've heard some amazing stories about them!
Oh he's a lovely donkey. I especially like this foreshortened picture of him.
ok- think l'm loosing my marbles- could have sworn l left a comment here but must have go distracted before l posted. Remember saying that l could imagine you saying, "its the terrifying, horse eating wee donkey....quick...run away!!!!!" with a strong Scottish accent- a bit like in the Shrek movie :)
Thanks for the good wishes Claire- things are starting to return to normal here- even got some cleaning caught up with today.
take care
sarah
