Sunday morning

sunny morning, sitting with a cup of coffee
the sun catching the dew along the leeks
shining leaves of purple brussels
I find it difficult to capture spiders webs on camera, the auto-focus always wants to focus through it and I still find manual focus too tricky.

everything is so green there. sigh. nary a leaf left on a tree here, and it freezes very hard each night. we had a couple of inches of early snow last week, but it's all gone now. i have a comfy lawn chair in the greenhouse, where i sometimes go to have my tea and pretend it isn't frosty outside. the blackberry vine i planted there last spring still has green leaves.

Everything looks so green and lush still. I really must get myself to Scotland again. I have this fantasy of spending a year in Nairn.

Grannyfiddler, I like to sit in the greenhouse in the winter too. we are getting towards it getting frosty but it hasn't happend yet.
Wenda, autumn is turning things now, the weather is wet and yucky. Have you holiday'd in Nairn, its way up north from me.

Great job with the spider web. They are so hard to capture with a camera, aren't they?

I spent a month travelling around Scotland in 1995, way too long ago and not nearly enough time. My first two weeks was touring gardens with a group and the last two weeks I explored on my own. Made a friend in Balloch, but have since lost touch with her.

GTR, I'm always trying to take web pictures, they are rarely focused so I need to work on that.
Kati, maybe manual focus wouldl be better, I'll just keep on trying
Wenda, so much to see never enough time, I'm still going round Scotland myself so I never holiday aborad(except I'm going to Canada for 2 weeks next year to visit a friend.) which is what most people seem to do. Balloch is not that far from be, nice place.

Is your greenhouse heated? Must be a nice place to sit for a cuppa. I'd love to have one! A greenhouse that it, I can have a cuppa anytime :)
I haven't as yet tried photographing spiderwebs. They're beautiful. Must have a go! I doubt my little camera will do well at it either.

I haven't been able to catch a spider in her web for a photo either but this one is pretty good.

Kerri, the greenhouse is not heated, but it protects all the plantpots during the winter and they can go outside again next year.
Becky, a spider in the web would be great! but htey run away when they see me coming, camera shy?
