that Friday feeling?

Orkney Sunset, October 2003

sorry for lack of posts, there seems to be nothing hapening here. no kayaking, no gardening. dreary rainy weather and back at work after the break. yuck.

Smokey has been actually 'driven ' in his cart, with his usuall superb behaviour. I am waiting for his mum to put his pictures up and then I'l link to it, I didn't take any with my camera. I had a wee ride on Teddy on Wednesday, I huffed and puffed and she dollys round wondering why her rider is so hopeless! Its a privelege to know such nice horses.

Riding is a bit like kayaking. There's never a ride or a paddle that's worse than a day at work!

Hello Claire,
I've been reading your Blog awhile now since moving to the Highlands last year. I was under the (somewhat silly) impression that I couldn't leave a comment unless I had a Blog of my own...dumb, dumb, but then what can you do? I've got my own blog now and have found out just how wrong I was! Now that I'm all reformed 'n all, there's no more lurking for me! I just wanted to let you know how much I'm learning about the ecology, and cultivation, and climate, and...(you get the picture) of the area thanks to you. I'm working my way thru your back entries and they are so good and I love the cats!
Hope you have a wonderful 2007.
CJ

Went to "Accidental Smallholders" but couldn't view Smokey either...

Looks like you've been busy with offline/online life (or vice versa?!)?

Lowa, thanks for all your comments, Teddy is an old horse who knows it all, she's perfect with a beginner and livens up with a more experienced rider, good mannered in the stable too.
