I too have been noticing the "color scheme" of this horse, and upon closer look I see it appears to be shaved on the lower half of its body. I've never seen anyone do that to their horse before. Is it something commonly done in Scotland?
I also notice the large patch on each side where something (the harness?) has been rubbing. Have they fixed the fit of it or is it still rubbing?
I love the way all animals like to play games. :o) I have some pictures from a few years back (currently in my truck to show to a friend) and one of them is 2 horses play fighting. I'll scan and post it soon as these photos made me think of that.
Granny and Grannyfiddler, Robbie is called a 'Bay' colour, his winter coat is clipped which is why he looks multi coloured, see this link, http://www.newrider.com/Library/Horse_Care/clipping_how_much.html it is something that is quite commmon here with them growing winter coats, Alice, the rub is from his stable rug, it was changed recently but I dont see any improvement. he also has a bald bit on the top of his tail and on his wither from where he had ringworm as a foal.
A lifetime of kind horsemanship, I think we were doing natural horsemanship before it was ''invented''
I have completed Level One with Quantum Savvy Natural Horsemanship.
I am sad I can no longer access the Parelli learning platform, its just too expensive with too many changes.
I've tried some clicker training with good results , but haven't found any one person to wholly agree with. I guess I'll just need to keep trying to see what works
