big trees

I have used photostitch to put the tops and bottoms of these trees together, they make quite an amazing avenue. we got all 'earthy' and walked barefoot up here, lovely cool grass on such a warm day.

rhododendrons in every colour, some were beautifully scented.

Blogger was funny all yesterday and would't let me leave messages on blogs I was visiting. I am off now to Tayvallich for the weekend, camping and kayaking. Catch up with you all on Monday.

A tree tunnel! I love them. We're lucky enough to have one in our little town, but the trees are getting old and we're beginning to lose the effect in places.
Have a fun paddle!

Granny, I had a great weekend thankyou. the trees were so tall I took two photgraghs, one of the walkway and one of the tops of the trees.."photostitch" is a program that came with the camera and it has blended the two photographs in the middle to make it look like one, if you look really really closely you can make it out but I think it looks ok.
Patsy, I was so impressed with the size of these Californian trees, and the bark is different too.
Michael, there are a couple of trees missing out of this one, they have replanted but I think it takes them 100 years to get to this size. I had a great paddle thanks!

I took a photo similar to your walk into the trees! Mine was a walk into an enchanted forest...a 4 day post! It is always nice to see our world through the eyes of the blogger taking the photos!! I hear you on that day blogger was having tech. problems I too tried that day!!
