bank holiday weekend

lovely to sit in the garden on a holiday monday, here's Daisy enjoying the sun.

I very nearly weeded this verbascum out, it has a base of flat leaves and I wasn't sure what they were.
some appeared on the other side of the garden too, glad the weeding doesn't get done too often!
bees love this centaurea montana-one of the cormflower family, its a fabulous colour , and thanks to Keith for the correct name and information on this one!

and those lovely furry poppy heads burst into big blousy orange poppys.

gardening going on! imagine this bed, beetroot, parsnips, sweet corn. . . I can see it in my minds eye. . .

this azalea just flowered too, its gets better every year this one.
and the rhubarb survived, I still haven't tasted any on if yet.
and the poppies just before they burst into flower. . . . .

er, not much for me to say but 'wow nature' and get out there with the camera!!

salad and potatoes

fresh salad whoopee!! wild garlic leaves, ground elder, garlic cress, chives, red lettuce, rocket, mizuna and primrose flowers.
and thankyou to Rosemary and Dan for the lovely already chitted potatoes. they are now planted in buckets in a nice long row in the garden.

here's the lorry

this is Robbies' lorry, the window is a little living space, on the other side there are windows for two to three horses and there's enough space for his cart too.
here he is modeling his new sweatsheet, I bought it for him as he turned his old one into ribbons last week.
also ordered at the same time a fleece blanket for Angel to wear while she cools down, Barbara-Ann has started driving her recently. how cute is she in her little rug!!
