first....

the first picture taken with a new camera of the first vegetable bed I have planted up this year. its all peas and beans....can't wait!

I badly scratched the lens of my fabulous Canon S2 IS, so its now been replaced with the newer version, a Canon S5 IS.
zoom works well too

and its got a 'movie mode', so Daisy was my first try with this new camera, and the new software allows you to extract a still from the movie, so this is the first one of those too!!

Hi Claire!

Looks like a sunny day in Scotland?!?

Nice photos -- you'll have fun with your new camera!

P.S. What is that we see growing in your garden beds to the sides?

Twinkletoe, thankyou! she is cute kittty. most of the buttons on the new camera are in the 'right place' as its a newer model of my old one, so hopefully not too difficult to get to know all its 'stuff'.
Wildside, a sunny day with the odd shower of rain, freezing cold wind blowing! to the right are whats left of the leeks and a chard that has not grown. to the left I am afraid is weeds and some flowering rocket left from last year. edible flowers!!

I love adding new beds. Try to every year or so (why have lawn??? :-).

What are you using to hold up your cold-framey plastic? Frames/plastic covers are quite pricey if you buy pre-made.

Enjoy the new camera treat!

Tara, think the fruit bushes are going to take over the 'lawn'...the 'fleece' is held up with wine bottles....always need more bottles so hence always have a glass to hand..!!

Wow! Look at your garden grow! What lovely mild weather you must have been having for a while now.

I've been away from here for so long that I had forgotten how lovely it was to come for a visit.
