searching for colour

theres not much happening in the garden now, a careful search found very little to photograph, a late flowering borage, suffering a bit round the edges from the frosts.
the pernytta gives a good display of berries, the birds dont seem to eat them. we've had some snow but it didn't lie for long.

Borage in bloom? That's great! Mines not blooming so I've been pulling it up and tossing it to chooks.

Those red berries are something too! Wonder why the birds don't like them?

Funny how some things birds go for in some places, and in other places not. Was just having this conversation with a neighbor who dropped by. Where she lived before birds feasted on our native evergreen huckleberries. They don't on the ones I planted for them in my wildscaped hedge... Ok, birds, means all the more for me!

Oops! Just did a typo on my link -- that takes you to a mega bible site! Another typo I did earlier took to a blog on rock and roll.

Oooh, well. Perhaps I should start logging in as myself before I comment, eh?!? LOL.

Thanks to your post, I went out looking. Today I spotted a borage in bloom! The only one, but YAY!

A bit bothered about what I discovered here yesterday... That a minor typo in my blog's address takes one to a mega bible site... My paranoid side wonders how they wound up with an address so similiar to mine, when it doesn't have anything to do with bible or end of the world doings. Quite strange. A bit perplexed & anxious. But need to brush it off!

Hope you are having a worry-free day! Or surviving it, anyway! ;-)

Wildside, worry free and a nice sunny day, went up to ride Smokey who was a good horse today. the internet is a strange and convoluted place....a misplaced dot and you can go anywhere!!
Gary, love the canoe picture, you're probably finding it a bit chilly to go out at the moment?

outdoor color is a feast for the eyes in these parts, these days. out my window this morning, all is soft grey-whites, with dawn blushing modestly on the horizon.....

.... after a few interruptions, i'm returning to complete that thought.... the sun is now over the horizon, and the world is painted in red-gold honey, with cobalt shadows. quite lovely, but still winter. sigh.

GF, the winter sun here takes on a pink shade in the evening, and you know its soon going to be dark, I'm not awake enough in the morning to see the dawn!
