as I muck out the stables I open the bags of shavings for bedding, the cats seem to like to curl up and go to sleep in them. then I chuck them out as I need to use them.
and here they are all cuddled up nice and warm on a horse blanket. . which I had to chuck them off as it was needed back on the horse. . .poor things, they must just see me as a disturber of sleep.

sweet kitties. i used to have milk goats... the cats would line up in the barn and i'd squirt milk at them as i milked the ladies.
It amazing what cat will crawl in to snooze in. The last thing Ziggy the cat crawl in was a brown paper sack.
Ours cats seem to even the score while WE sleep. Don't know if these do the same to you!
Grannyfiddler, they're very sweet. I waste a lot of time just watching to see what they're doing next..

I'm updating this to say that the grey kitten Smoky Tiptoes, she came to live with me permanantly when she was two, her brother Phoenix was killed on the road outside the farm and they were selling up.... I had her till she was 10. which is young for a cat to pass away , a short illness and she was gone.
