across the Clyde

the sun catches one hill as the hill behind is obscured by snow, a brave sailor out in the cold! they're beating against the wind here, and probably came back the way at twice the speed!
it looks more dramatic in 'real life' the snow flurries drift across the hills. the water was very choppy, I wouldn't like to have been out kayaking today.

spectacular! not having any experience with sails, it ties my brain in a knot, trying to understand how you can sail AGAINST the wind!!

Grannyfiddler, its angles and tecnical stuff, with zig-zags. I've done it in a wee dingy but not sure if I'd remember how to now.

Beautiful, yet brutal!

Wow. A little too scary for me! I don't even go swimming. Water freaks me out. But it is very beautiful.

It looks cold to be out there, but it's amazingly beautiful! /Katarina

Widside, good description!
Primrozie, well the cold would kill you before you could swim to shore anyway. . . .
Katarina, very cold, we were all bundled up in winter clothes to take a walk.

Hey thanks for the wave Claire! Is that my wee hoose up there on yonder hill? lol
Glad you weren't kayaking either- a wee bit on the cold side.
For Easter we went walking along Lock Eck with my brother and family- it was nippy enough there without being out on the river! He's buying a new canoe- has been saving up for a while but he's now getting excited about the delivery. l told him l'd go out with him on it- help! :)

It looks gorgeous, if a little freezing! Not for me in that weather! Actually, watched Billy Connolly's tour of Scotland, and that reminded me of just how chilly it is up there. And in summer there's the midges...

Lovely to look at, but it looks very cold with those choppy little waves. March didn't win any awards for being the favourite month here. Looks like yours was mostly chilly too.
We've been promised a warm, sunny day tomorrow. Yay! Finally!
