travelling

well its a BIG place!
eight hours of flying to Calgary followed by eight hours of driving to Nelson.
and another ten hours of driving yesterday to arrive in Portland, Oregon.
some consolation is that I am not actually having to do all this driving and I get to choose the music in the car.

I bet the sights are just amazing. You will have seen alot of countryside as you travelled through the country. Hope you're having a good time.

There must be a lot of roads without markings & lots of sheep in a country that size !

No wonder the gas price has shot up. You're using up all the supplies! Just kidding, of course. Glad to know you've been getting to see some of the country while you're here in Canada and the USA.

so you've seen our Rockies and our Kootenays... beautiful country. you were brilliant not to be the driver. there's far too much to look at to be staring at the road all of the time. that's one of the nicest things about slow water paddling... and horses too, for that matter - you don't have to be steering and watching for obstacles constantly; you can sit back and enjoy the view. you've covered a huge lot of ground, though... it must seem a bit of a blur. happy trails!

I drove down the highway 101 a couple of years ago. Oregon is so beautiful, lovely climate and lots of interesting stuff growing there!

You flew right over me on your way to Calgary. The trip between Calgary and Nelson is really spectacular, isn't it?

I hope you have had a great trip!

To all who know and love Claire... she is on her way home. Claire left Nelson this morning to fly back to Scotland. I feel so blessed to have met her and the friends she was staying with, and know I now have 3 new and wonderful friends.
