ferry to Dunoon

On Wednesday, we decided to go for a ferry trip to Dunoon, this is the gateway across the road where you disembark from the ferry. A nice bit of colour, primulas and crocus. It was a dry but very, very chilly day.

Is Dunoon an island? (Claire, I see that by meeting you I'll have to find myself a map of Scotland and get an education!)

the west coast of scotland has lots of squigles and ups and downs! Dunoon is 'mainland' but would take two hours to get there while it is a quick hop on the ferry from Greenock. mind you it takes me 40 minutes to get to Greenock!

I LOVE that last photo. I didn't think I remembered much of Scotland from my childhood trips, but the ferry and the hills brought back a whole cartload of memory images. Lovely.

Scotland is a beautiful country, what spoils it is too much rain and the midges, I don''t holiday abroad because I think I've still so much to see here(from underneath my umbrella and midge-net)
