new wellie boots!!

whoohoo!! warm feet for the winter!!
I've treated myself to a new pair of Muckboots, neoprene lined comfy wellies, no more damp cold feet out doing the gardening or the horses. I sold a load of cross-stitch kits on e-bay to raise the money, I probably bought them off e-bay in the first place and I am not going to have time to do them.

Oh, wow, excellent purchase, Claire!

Much more pleasing to my mind's eye than a pile of undone cross stitch! (Living always in mud, I am biased though!)

I agree Claire. Great exchange and oh so much more appreciated when the going gets cold out there in the stall...

I could use a pair of those for the cold winter we're sure to have here, not to mention going down to the basement to clean up the cat-boxes! (I'm not trying to compare to the horse-work, you understand.)

Wow, these are VERY NICE! I should look into something like this for Princess when she is at lessons. She only has three lessons left until we will sign her up again the spring, at another place I found. I will have some of these for her by then.

Get this. The new place is $215 for 8 hours of private lessons and the place she goes now we spent $295 for 8 hours of GROUP lessons, which is such a waste of time in many ways. If we wanted group lessons at the new place, it would only be $145!?!? I wish I had found it earlier, but at least now I know about it:)

very stylish, o foxy lady! i see you attired in something textured and wool to match the footgear and well worn jeans... say, a nice Aaran knit, with matching mitts and scarf (i think that's a muffler on your side of the pond)

i have a Ukranian friend who calls Wellies rrrrrubber bootchkas.

Wildside, the cross-stitches are ideal for winter evenings, but I have three on the go already.....too full of good intentions....
Michael, my feet appreciate being dry, think these might be a bit muckle(big)to get in a kayak though.
Poetikat, winter starting off hard here too, cold and wet, animals always need cleaning up after!
Dora, a good man needs good boots! theres wine on the go here!
Lowa, its expensive learning to ride, I agree one to one will get better results quicker, riding boots are meant to have a heel to stop slipping through the stirrups, I ride with safety stirrups so its not so important.
GF, am going to call them rrrrrubber bootchkas from now on. I tend to wear fleece jumpers and a waterproof, Arran takes too careful a washing to survive long round me!!

Good for you, Claire! Those are great boots. If my feet are cold, I'm cold all over. Warm feet are such a blessing.
I'm glad you saved a bit of cross stitch to occupy you on those winter evenings. I like to work on it too, but haven't for ages.

Kerri, I cant stand having cold feet, and its too much to work outside and get wet feet, with the constant rain here thats happened a lot recently.

Hi Claire, I'm a Claire too. I saw your blog title and had to check it out. I love your wellies. I just did a post on mine this weekend which you can look at if you like. Yours look warmer with the neoprene lining. Good choice! I wonder if I should go through my old cross stitch kits and look for some good sellers!

Hi Claire! its difficult to leave the house without my fab wellies now, unfortunately I work in an office most of the week and they would complain about the smell.....em...what smell? I can't smell the horse poo any more...

Whooohoo! Those are nice!
I may have to get me some brand name Muck Boots to add to my arsenal of muck boots. Those are serious boots!

Not sure if you're interested, but I created some fun blog stickers for anyone posting pics of their favorite muck boots on their blog. I see you did this back on October, but you still qualify, if you'd like to pick up you fancy schmancy blog sticker, you can visit my blog and pick from two different designs.

Check out my 'M~if for Muck Boots post. :)

I'm going to add you to my Favorites, too. I love blogs with horses and a farm theme :)
