Re-posting to remember her by..

I was told recently that this lovely pony passed away late last year. I spent a lot of time with her over the few years before I bought Abbey.
original post said  """Katie likes a good roll in the mud so she's not often clean, I've just washed her and here is the evidence....underneath mud is a pretty pony!"""
"""here she is drying off in a new rug I've bought her, it 'wicks' so should help dry her and she can use it to travell in. next weekend we're off to do a course with Quantum Savvy, there's a link on my sidebar."""

I still have the burgundy striped cooler, its been used on many horses now.

Katie's a beautiful horse -- reminds me of ones I grew up with, now seems long ago. You & Katie enjoy your course, Claire!

Such a beautiful animal. She looks rather proud of herself right now don't you think? Lol.

wow, she looks GORGEOUS! I bet she feels a lot better too:)

That rug is nice! Wicking is a good thing, eh??

I think she looks rather unconcerned with how she looks, just enjoying well-deserved attention from the innate sense animals have that attention is a good thing and doesn't need to be questioned. Wish we humans were as content with ourselves whether bathed or covered in mud!

Wildside, we're all packed and ready to go now...
Primrozie, she's very pretty and she likes all the attention!
Lowa, wicking means taking the wet/sweat away and leaving a dry horse, or human! she gets very stratchy with flys so I think she liked the wash.
Kati, she does like the attention, she's been rolling in the dust again so it didn't last that long!

Katie is looking very fetching in both pics :)
Those gooseberries look so good, Claire, and I'd be a fool for that gooseberry fool! It sounds delicious.
The dactylorizor is new to me. Does it have a common name?
Your garden is looking pretty despite the lack of weeding. My perennials are in dire need of thinning. They're taking over the world!
My computer is down since Wednesday, after we had some rewiring done outside (this is the summer of thunderstorms!). Major frustration! Maybe new power supply time. I hope that's all, and nothing worse. Thank heavens Ross is willing to share his with me.
The garden is keeping me too busy to blog much!
New potatoes...yum! We're eating lovely fresh veggies too.

These old comments threw me for a loop! So much so I had to click on the wildside to see where it would go -- oh my! Had no idea. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Claire. One of the posts that I wrote actually was a message I needed to hear this AM! (I do end up lecturing myself!!! Too funny.)

Sorry about Katie. She had a good friend in you.

hey wildside I totally forgot about the comments and hadn't looked further down than the post. wow.
she was a lovely pony I was very fond of her and she's only a few years older than Abbey so she ought to have had years yet.. something must have happened but I do not have the story to tell.
