you even make problems into lovely photos, claire! i love the textures in the wood, and i'm sure the bee is winking.

There are a lot of hornets or wasps (hey, I don't know the difference, lol) around here this year. I put up a wasp trap last weekend with some Coke in it... wow did they ever flock to that! Now it's all gone so no more wasps going in there. Today I went to get bread out of the truck for the chickens (back of truck full of bread for them) and the darn nasty things are swarming like crazy in there too. Too bad I have no Coke in the house. Guess I'll mix up some sugar water and see if that works.

If you get stung, put a penny over the sting and tape it on. I read this in a book recently and then a friend got stung and we put a penny on her... the swelling went down and the pain went away within seconds of getting that penny on her arm.

Becky, i'm really glad I say the bee was there and didn't squash it!
Grannyfiddler, I had to put the flash to show up the bee in the keyhole its really made the wood show up.
Patsy, I try to be as bee friendly in the garden as possible, we have bee dying problems here too. Teddy had her winter coat trimmed in that photo, making it lok like two different colors, and she had a rug on in her stable to keep her warm in winter-it stops them sweating so much when they are working.
Wildside, I enticed the bee out with a flower and dropped it off in the garden.
Alice, thanks for the ting tip, its not nice getting a sting!

You're a good girl to care about the little creatures Claire.
Great picture! It's a very cute little bee :)

Kerri, if the garden attracts bees then it means I must be doing something right.

This is a wonderful pictures ... the bee has found a perfect relaxing place where it won't be bothered.
