summer days?? in April??

Lovely weather! I have been eating baby salad leaves, sowed another tray today in the last of my seed compost so I must get some more. my own compost is too full of beasties for seedlings... I also sowed some courgettes. there is only one veggy bed still to dig over, and the grass got cut again this weekend, still need to find some enthusiam for weeding....
Abbey is shedding her winter coat at a furious rate, still a lot to come out.

Still really cold here, can't do much outside. I'm taking my Girl Scouts to a horse farm this afternoon, I hope they have fun!

Bonnie, we're unseasonally warm here, I don't trust the weather to stay like this so I am holding off planting outside. hope you have a great afternoon with the horse farm visit!!

Lets just hope this isn't our summer Claire! Has been great for getting out in the garden for sure. We were down in Cornwall last week and the weather was lovely but to come back to this as well- brilliant. I sat out on the front steps today planting flowers and did a little weeding. Everyone seems in such a great mood.
Heading to bed here- all this fresh air and sunshine- it's too much!! :)

Horizon, hope its not like like last year, a few nice weeks and that was it.... I'm considering unearthing my shorts from the back/bottom of the wardrobe, it indeed they are still in there!

the sun is shining here today too... though only 5 or 10 degrees above freezing. your greenlings inspire me to keep believing we'll get some heat. i'm planning a friendly takeover of my elderly dad's garden this year. if i plant veggies at his place and flowers in my own little postage stamp sized yard, i'll have the best of both worlds.
