I love looking at tree leaves, the way the light shines through them, and the colours of the leaves, It 'does not do it' with a photograph....I think it must be that movement creates a play of light and colour and I cannot capture it with a still photograph.
the bees are out and busy, due to comlete memory blankness the names of plants are totally escaping me today so I may come back later to 'identify'
love the colours, still no memory!
more busy bees
and my much neglected garden is still managing to grow, peas and beans here, there are also courgettes, onions, carrots, beetroot and pumpkin. tomato plants in the greenhouse and think a pepper too. the greenhouse temperatures are between 6 and 35 C. too much variation and too hot!!
this is the poppy produced by the tall, much awaited plant. there are lots of flowers, they don't seem to last long but there are more waiting to open.
and the blue poppy throws out another bloom. I love it.

The flowers are gorgeous! I haven't had the space for more than herb and veg. Once I have the garden in place I will establish some perennials. Right now I mix annuals into the veg garden and the herbs do add a little flower.
Your veg garden looks healthy. How has it fared with all the temperature fluctuation? I lost more seedlings this year than I ever have since beginning gardening, total!
I am a very amateur gardener but willing to learn. This poppy is beautiful. I do love unusual flowers. The poppy is the State flower of California where I live but golden not blue. I would love to have some of these in my garden I'll have to be on the outlook.
Primrozie, the garden is okay with the cooler nights, it looks like rain now though it is still warm. its not been as hot outside as in the greenhouse which is stressing the plants in there a bit. okay with lots of watering. I've always liked to have flowers in amongst the veg too, it looks nice.
Elaine, I have some yellow california poppys too, they grow very easily popping up all over. the blus one is a himalayan poppy, Meconopsis betonicifolia, which is not such a prolific spreader though I hope it spreads a bit as its so lovely.
