Claire, my giant pumpkin harvest was about that too! A few more, perhaps, but some even smaller than the one you're showing... And I planted so many. Ah, higher hopes for next year, then!

P.S. Were you able to grow the peppers yourself? If so, that's amazing! (In your greenhouse? --Wildside)

You harvested 100% more pumpkin than we did this year! :-) Way too cool and damp apparently. As much as I enjoy cooler weather, for my garden's sake, I wish it got a bit warmer here in the summers.

Wildside, the peppers were in the greenhouse, they do ok in there.
David, veggies roasted in the oven with garlic and olive oil. very yummy.
Bonnie, very nice pumpkins we grow!
Gary, sure the Haiku is an art. em . . .
Tara, Seattle would be ok in a dry year, your weather is similar to here.

Fresh veggies are wonderful! We were lucky to have a very large pumpkin and squash harvest this summer. Last year's extrememly wet weather produced very few.
We had gourds everywhere too!
We'll be putting lots of winter squash in the freezer. Buttercup is our favourite.
That's a nice little pumpkin :)
