The last of the parsnips dug up today, laterly kept under fleece which allowed them to be unearthed with relative ease. The rest of the garden is frozen solid so I spent the morning bagging maure from a local stable and bringing it home in the car to spread over the top of all the beds, flower and vegetable. It can be dug in or forked through when the weather is a bit milder.
