Ah courgettes = "zukes!" Will never plant them, they grow too well, and one or two are always making their way into my kitchen uninvited none-the-less!
And yes, I'm too with Madcapmum, your garden's looking great! (Green envy monster popping up! It looks far better than mine!)
Madcapmum, thankyou, I have finally taken the fleece covers off, although I leave the carrots and parsnips covered to stop carrot fly. Wildside, no courgettes? I love them , and freeze enough to last throught the winter but they do tend to take over!
shat a lovely, lovely garden! now i think I finally understand "clairesgarden". took me long enough, don't you think?
what do you do with all the zucchini? i mean, courgettes? do you bake with them? when i used to subscribe to a local csa and received many zucchinis weekly, i made zucchini fritatta at least once a week. it was delectable!
Wenda, thankyou for visiting, Scotland is beautiful when the weather is nice, today there's murky misty rain hiding the hills. glad od the water for the garden though. Norene, I usualy use them in pasta sauce because I am not a good or imaginative cook! My friend made courgette and parmesan muffins which were really nice, I might try those. I like them because they are usually easy to grow, trouble free and you gets lots of food! I am a vegetarian and am quite happy to eat pasta every day!
Oh lucky you to have zucchini! My hubby just planted the seeds for ours. It's been so wet for so long! We do have some other veges that were planted in May..but will have to wait a while for the rest. Your vege gardens look terrific!
Your garden's looking great, Claire!

Your garden looks so lush and lovely. My one trip to Scotland in 1995 was for a two-week-long garden tour. I've often been back ... in my daydreams.
