  4. Matron, garlic cress cna be found here http://www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Peltaria+alliacea
sorry I don't know where the seeds came from, I was given a handfull of plants from my friends organic market garden and I have never been able to grow any from the seeds I collect, so I have hardly any left and they look like they might not grow back again.
    Gary, thankyou!
Alice, I thought they were pretty too, and hopefully each one will grow into something edible!

  5. I've never heard of garlic cress before either. Please report on how well you like it.

Scarlet runner bean flowers are one of my favorite ones to eat. (They make a tasty and lovely contrast in green salads). Our local hummingbirds seem quite fond of them as well.

  9. Tlc, the garlic cress is fab, I am a bit worried it might not keep going. I use the leaves and little flowers in salad all the time, very flavoursome.
Nature Girl, well the flowers are so pretty, and every one(hopefully) will turn into something yummy.
Grannyfiddler, well I have just come inside to avoid the pelting rain. . . but yes, its a far nicer place to sit and contemplate in the summer.
